WestLAND Group Inc. is seeking a Project Accounting Assistant to support the Finance Department with timecard reviews, expenses, and client invoicing.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to learn Smart Sheets while contributing to accurate project accounting processes. The successful candidate will have an accounting background with practical experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely, compliant financial

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting support experience with increasing responsibility.
• Understanding basic accounting principles and software.
• Intermediate Excel and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date client database, electronic filing systems and accounting records.
• Must be willing to learn and become proficient in Smart Sheets software.
• Will apply analytical skills to project accounting activities and measurements.
• Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers regarding timecards, expenses, and other accounting activities.
• Train in weekly timecard review and reconciliation.
• Train in client contract review for billing requirements and learn to generate accurate client invoices.
• Ensure that receipts for project expenses and reimbursements are complete and accurate.
• Provide financial reporting as scheduled or requested.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
