Job summary

Texas State University is seeking a Part‑Time Program Manager to lead and coordinate industry engagement, research development, and strategic growth for the Center for Analytics and Data Science (TXST CADS). This role serves as the liaison between the Center, industry partners, and faculty to advance collaborative research, workforce development, and externally funded projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience level.
• Knowledge of university policies and procedures; management of specific functions within a program or department; laws/regulations/compliance relevant to externally funded programs and grants.
• Basic understanding of analytics and data science.
• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of administrative tasks related to grant management.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Be able to problem solve and find answers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate industry engagement, research development, and strategic growth for the Texas State Center for Analytics and Data Science (TXST CADS).
• Serve as central liaison between the Center, industry partners, and faculty to advance collaborative research, workforce development, and externally funded projects.
• Develop partnership and sponsorship strategies, identify applied research opportunities, and explore commercialization or technology transfer potential.
• Provide research development support to CADS-affiliated faculty by disseminating funding opportunities, tracking submissions and awards, and coordinating proposal logistics.
• Support CADS annual reporting and compliance with funding policies, and participate in major events and activities.
