Job summary

MSIG USA, the US-based subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group, is seeking a Program Manager to oversee underwriting and profitable program business within an assigned territory. You will manage the full lifecycle of program evaluation, onboarding, monitoring, and performance, acting as a liaison between Program Administrators and internal stakeholders.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (CPCU preferred) and at least 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• CPCU designation or other insurance-related coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with external Program Administrators to ensure compliance with admitted market requirements.
• Conduct market research on proposed programs to advise on new niche opportunities.
• Oversee program lifecycle from evaluation to onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
• Monitor Administrators’ underwriting to ensure delegated authority, pricing methods, and filings.
• Update underwriting guidelines with MSMM Product Line Managers for risk alignment.
• Track profitability and production; implement action plans including rate adjustments.
• Serve as referral underwriter for risks beyond delegated authority.
• Collaborate with Product Development to refine program-specific coverages.
• Lead underwriting parts of program audits.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely bordereau data.
• Deliver Program Underwriting Unit projects and ad-hoc requests.

Education
