GFT is seeking a Program Construction Engineer for our Construction Management Team in Chicago, IL, working in a hybrid model. The role involves overseeing materials quality for Chicago Department of Transportation projects, ensuring adherence to plans, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in construction coordination and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range of $115,000 – $160,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in construction coordination, materials management, or quality control.
• Familiarity with CDOT and/or IDOT Standard Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between CDOT QA, Construction, Resident Engineers, and Contractors.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and present materials coordination requirements.
• Perform field visits to resolve material and construction-related issues.
