Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineering Intern for Appleton, WI or Greenville, SC. This hybrid role requires at least 2 days in the office weekly and offers exposure to advanced facilities design, calculations, and construction packages.

You will assist with complex facility projects, conduct field investigations, and review drawings and reports under supervision. The position emphasizes hands-on learning within Jacobs' Global Integrated Delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
• Desire to design mechanical systems and/or specify equipment for manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex facility design projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client specs.
• Develop estimates and scopes of work, perform field investigations, and prepare construction design packages.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on layout and design of mechanical equipment for niche manufacturing facilities; perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses.
