Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Advanced Facilities team in Appleton, WI or Greenville, SC. This hybrid role requires at least 2 days in the office weekly and offers exposure to a range of engineering services for niche manufacturing facilities.

You will develop engineering calculations, review documentation, and support design decisions while collaborating with engineers and designers across disciplines. Sponsorship is not available for this intern position.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Desire to design mechanical systems and/or specifying equipment specifications for equipment in the manufacturing market

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates and scopes of work for facility projects
• Perform field investigations and prepare construction design packages
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in layout and design process and mechanical equipment
• Perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions
• Create and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
• Assist with complex facility design projects and ensure compliance with codes, standards and client specs
