Job summary

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join the Office of Probation Services, Juvenile Intensive Supervision Program (JISP) in the Northern Regional Office, Paterson. You will manage field and office activities, supervise staff, and ensure policy implementation.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience, with two years in case management or supervision of offenders; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience, two years of which shall have included experience in case management; enforcement of court orders; and/or supervision, monitoring and intervention of offenders.

Responsibilities

• Assign, monitor, evaluate, review, lead, and oversee the work in both the office and in the field for activities and staff resources.
• Represent JISP on various internal and external committee groups.
• Oversee a team consisting of professional, paraprofessional, and support staff employees with the responsibility for assigning work.
• Implement and ensure sustainability of JISP policy and procedure and hold staff accountable for same.
• Provide customer service to clients and direct and coordinate work between units or teams.
• Communicate human resources policies, rules, or regulations to team members; schedule team members work hours or vacation time; conduct formal work performance evaluations with staff; evaluate unit or team performance and mediate staff conflicts.
• Review and correct the work of staff for accuracy and completeness; enforce court orders and monitor financial collections.
• Provide superior customer service within and outside the Judiciary in addition to any other assignments as they are presented.
• Other duties as assigned.
