Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. in Denver invites students for a 2027 summer internship in Private Equity & M&A. The program blends core cohort learning with department projects and senior leader exposure, including a flexible schedule of four days in the office and one remote day.

Daily work includes supporting due diligence, reviewing employee benefits data, preparing client-facing analyses, researching market topics, and learning how IMA teams collaborate on risk and M&A transactions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or Insurance.
• Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in Gamma Iota Sigma.
• Students anticipated to graduate in Spring 2027, December 2027, or Spring 2028.
• Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with problem-solving and creative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Support Private Equity & M&A by assisting project managers through due diligence.
• Review and analyze employee benefits documentation and data for clients.
• Develop employee benefits analyses and client-facing deliverables.
• Conduct research on employee benefits, compliance, and market topics.
• Learn how IMA teams collaborate to evaluate risk during M&A transactions.
• Contribute to internal projects to improve team resources and efficiency.
