Job summary

Coal Country Community Health Center in Beulah, North Dakota, is seeking a full-time Prior Authorization Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. The role blends remote work from an approved ND location with onsite duties at the Beulah Clinic, providing crucial support for insurance prior authorizations.

You will coordinate authorizations for medical services, medications, procedures, DME, and referrals, working closely with clinicians and payers to minimize delays and ensure access to care.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license required
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
• Prior authorization experience preferred
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and obtain insurance prior authorizations for medical services, medications, procedures, durable medical equipment (DME), specialty referrals and hospital services.
• Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff and payers to ensure timely access to medically necessary care.
• Document and track authorizations in the EMR and follow up to minimize delays.
