Job summary

Truveta in Seattle is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture of the clinical analytics platform. You will be a hands-on builder and force multiplier, shaping low-latency analytics, self-serve dashboards, and the platform's technical direction.

You will partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to translate health-system needs into a durable platform vision, guiding teams and delivering impact to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large‑scale software systems with technical leadership.
• Deep experience with data, OLAP, or analytics technologies, including analytical databases and data modeling for high‑performance reporting.
• Strong backend engineering expertise in .NET (C#), Python, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud‑native architectures on Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to make architectural tradeoffs and to drive alignment among stakeholders.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and raising technical capability.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex systems to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end architecture for clinical analytics and dashboarding.
• Make foundational design decisions on OLAP storage, data modeling, query performance, caching, and scalability.
• Design secure multi-tenant systems with data isolation and access control.
• Define metrics and dashboards sharing with governance and performance considerations.
• Build and prototype core components, set technical standards, and lead reviews.
• Mentor engineers and align roadmaps with leadership to reduce risk.
• Establish practices for reliability, observability, and production excellence.
