SFM - The Work Comp Experts in Minnesota seeks a Premium Auditor Specialist to conduct complex workers' compensation premium audits, focusing on midmarket to large market policy sizes. You’ll review payroll and business records, true up policies annually, and communicate findings via formal reports.

Most audits are virtual; a hybrid model with some in-office time is required. The role demands strong analytical skills, advanced auditing experience, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Five or more years’ experience reviewing and processing premium audits in an accounting or insurance environment.
• Insurance designation earned or in progress (e.g., CPCU, APA) preferred.
• Excellent customer service and negotiating skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct premium audits to determine coverages and exposures; review documents to set the premium base.
• Determine exposures and develop the proper basis of premium per rules and company best practices.
• Summarize exposure information and communicate audit results to policyholders and agents.
• Provide technical explanations on classifications and advise on account procedures when changes are needed.
• Respond to disputes, revise audits, and prepare amended audits for billing.
• Provide high quality service by handling inquiries related to premium billing and audits.
• Prepare audit reports showing data, calculations, classifications, logs, and documentation.
• Research and analyze results to achieve premium audit success following industry best practices.
