Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Personal Injury Attorney - Pre-Litigation in Hampton, VA. The attorney will manage pre-suit PI matters, direct settlement strategies, and coordinate with litigation teams to move cases toward resolution or litigation.

Ideal candidate is a Virginia-licensed attorney with 2–3+ years in VA PI and strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Hybrid work flexibility offered based on performance and experience.

Qualifications

• Virginia license in good standing.
• 2–3+ years of Virginia personal injury experience.
• Strong negotiation and sound professional judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coach team members.
• Excellent communication with empathy and professionalism.
• Highly organized and able to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-suit personal injury caseload from intake through resolution or transfer to litigation.
• Supervise and support pre-litigation case managers, providing legal guidance.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and treatment progression to determine strategy.
• Review and approve pre-suit settlement demands with strategic positioning.
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters for favorable resolutions.
• Coordinate with litigation attorneys to transition cases into suit when appropriate.
• Enter, update and maintain case data accurately in the case management system.
• Handle trials for cases resolved through General District Court and appeals to the Circuit Court.
