Job summary

TOMORROW HIRE is seeking an experienced PowerBuilder/.NET Developer to support the SCC Banking FIIS environment from Richmond, VA. The role combines PowerBuilder maintenance with .NET exposure, and requires independent work with the team, adhering to established coding standards and policies.

The position focuses on translating requirements into database and program solutions, performing admin, development, testing, debugging, and production support.

Qualifications

• PowerBuilder/InfoMaker development experience.
• 5+ years in ASP.NET, MVC, Web Forms, or Blazor.
• 5+ years with Visual Studio.
• 5+ years HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• 1+ year Web APIs with C#, EF, LINQ.
• 5+ years Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• 5+ years Visio, SharePoint, and Office apps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as part of a team.
• Must reside in the United States for Virginia security policy.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
• Available for a webcam interview.
• Provide current city and state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide backup support for the SCC Banking application.
• Primarily support the FIIS application in PowerBuilder.
• Support additional .NET applications.
• Perform complex system administration, maintenance, and production support.
• Design, develop, modify, test, debug, and implement programs and systems.
• Translate formal requirements into database and program solutions.
• Respond to system alerts and user events.
• Document findings and maintain technical documentation.
• Follow system development policies, standards, and coding practices.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain DB environments (Oracle/SQL Server).
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications.
• Fully document work performed and provide turnover to SCC staff.
• Work independently with minimal direction and collaborate with team.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties as required.
