Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a transmission line engineer to lead design and support for power line projects. You will work on conceptual to final detailed designs, including material procurement and construction support up to energization.

The role emphasizes FE modeling with PLS-CADD, plus development of drawings, specifications, and project scopes. A PE is preferred and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 2+ years' design or project engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organization and planning.
• PE license preferred; willingness to progress toward licensure.
• Willingness to travel; ability to oversee design staff.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of transmission lines.
• Material procurement and construction support through line energization.
• Create project scope documents and FE design modeling using PLS-CADD.
• Develop loading, framing, foundation and plan & profile drawings.
• Produce material and construction specifications and QA oversight.
