Job summary

ICF is seeking an Economics Specialist to join our Regulatory, Policy and Economics practice. The role is hybrid from Reston, VA (preferred) or Waltham, MA, starting Summer 2027, with pay in the low $60K range.

You will contribute to national-level policy analyses and provide research, modeling, and regulatory analysis support within a multidisciplinary team, interfacing with clients and senior staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related discipline is required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently with technical problem solving.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for client-facing work.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and synthesize information from rulemaking documents and reports to support program design or implementation.
• Perform cost-benefit, econometric, or other quantitative analyses of regulatory impacts.
• Develop analytical methods, databases, and models (e.g., in R, Excel) to quantify costs and benefits.
• Draft and edit rulemaking support documents and provide general program support.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and interact with clients.
