Job summary

ICF is seeking an Economics Specialist to join our Regulatory, Policy and Economics portfolio, supporting public-sector clients with research, analysis, and implementation to address complex policy, management, and regulatory challenges. This entry-level full-time position will be hybrid from Reston, VA headquarters (preferred) or Waltham, MA office and is available starting Summer 2027.

The anticipated pay for this position will be in the low $60K range.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related discipline.
Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently.
Excellent written and oral communications for client-facing role.
Experience with data analysis and modeling using R, Stata, or Python.

Responsibilities

Analyzing and synthesizing information from rulemaking documents, literature, or other technical reports to support program design or implementation.
Performing cost-benefit, statistical/econometrics, or other quantitative analyses to assess industry response to changing regulatory requirements.
Developing analytical methods, databases, and models (e.g., in R, Excel) to quantify the costs, benefits, or other regulatory impacts.
Drafting and editing rulemaking support documents.
Providing other general program support.
