Job summary

UC San Diego Health is hiring a Physician Biller for a hybrid schedule combining onsite work at Greenwich Drive, San Diego, CA, and remote tasks. The role covers the full scope of physician billing within the revenue cycle, from claim generation through final payment disposition.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of medical billing experience, strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10, HIPAA/PHI familiarity, and proficiency in MS Office. Epic Resolute experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant experience in medical claims billing.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD10 and payer rules.
• Ability to read/interpret insurance EOBs and payer communications.

Responsibilities

• Handle full range of physician billing from claim generation to final payment disposition.
• Monitor workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely resolution of open accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely billing.
