Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy in Denver, CO is looking for an Authorization Representative I to manage the completion and submission of drug re-authorization forms required by health plans. This hybrid role requires 1-2 days in the office weekly to support collaboration and patient care.

You will enter re-authorizations into the portal, submit forms to insurance plans, and maintain a log of all submissions while coordinating with insurers or physicians to confirm approval or denial statuses.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 1 year of experience processing pharmacy prior authorizations.
• Experience with pharmacy prior authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters re-authorizations into the portal and ensures accurate completion of re-authorization forms.
• Submits completed re-authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans.
• Maintains log of all re-authorizations submitted.
• Follows up with the patient’s insurance company or physician office by phone, email or spreadsheets on all submitted re-authorization for patient approval/denial status.
