Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an Authorization Representative I for BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy in Denver, Colorado. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 1-2 days per week with some flexibility for commuting from within a reasonable distance.

The role focuses on completing and submitting drug re-authorizations and maintaining corresponding logs. A HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of prior authorization experience are required; specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.

• Experience in specialty pharmacy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters re-authorizations into the portal and ensures accurate completion of re-authorization forms.
• Submits completed re-authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans.
• Maintains log of all re-authorizations submitted.
• Follows up with the patient’s insurance company or physician office by phone, email or spreadsheets on all submitted re-authorization for patient approval/denial status.

Responsibilities

The Authorization Representative I will be responsible for the completion and submission of appropriate forms for patients whose health plan requires drug re-authorizations for different therapy types.

Salary and Compensation

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location, the salary* range for this specific position is $16.50 to $27.23.
