Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is a fast-growing Long-Term Care pharmacy serving facilities and assisted living communities. We seek a licensed pharmacist to evaluate orders, supervise medication preparation, and collaborate with care teams.

Hybrid schedule with on-site and remote work options, including nights and alternating weekends. Ideal candidates hold an Ohio Pharmacist license, bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Long-Term Care experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently, multitask and stay organized.
• Proficiency with computer systems and LTC-specific software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team on medication questions.
• Supervise preparation of medications.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and client facility staff when needed.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
• Maintain customer databases including medical history and clinical data.
