Job summary

Family Service League Inc. in Mastic, NY, is hiring a full-time Peer Specialist for the OnTrack Program. You will engage adolescents and adults with psychosis, work with a multidisciplinary team, and provide outreach and linkage to services.

The role combines clinic-based and field work, with option for telehealth in some cases. Requirements include a High School diploma, Certified Peer Specialist status or pursuing certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Peer Specialist or Credentialed Family Peer Advocate or working towards certification required.
• Prior experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Willingness to draw upon lived experience to engage clients and serve as a role model.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and engage adolescents and adults with psychosis and other behavioral health disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including clinicians and nurses.
• Screen eligibility for OnTrack NY program referrals.
• Link clients to appropriate services when ineligible or for higher levels of care.
• Document all clinical activity in the electronic health record.
