Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist in Long Island City, NY to own high-volume tax filings across multiple legal entities and states and to prepare Form 941, withholding, SUTA, unemployment, state, and sales tax filings within our ERP environment.

You will pull reports from the MQ ERP system, review filing information for accuracy, and collaborate with the finance manager and tax team to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Experience completing Form 941, withholding tax, SUTA or unemployment tax filings.
• Experience supporting multistate tax filings for multiple legal entities.
• Proficient with Excel and able to learn an ERP system quickly.

Responsibilities

• Complete approximately 167 to 175 recurring tax filings across multiple companies and states.
• Prepare Form 941, withholding, SUTA, unemployment, state, and sales tax filings.
• Pull reports from the MQ ERP system and use existing Excel files to support tax computations.
• Review filing information for completeness and elevate issues to the manager.
• Maintain filing progress against company-specific deadlines.
