You will collaborate across Benefits, HR, Operations, Accounting and Finance to resolve issues, perform audits, and respond to employee inquiries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a Payroll Specialist role covering multi-state payroll.
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of UltiPro (Ultimate Software).
• Ability to manage time, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to work variable hours, including weekends/holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government wage requirements.
• Act as subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues.
• Ensure accurate processing of payrolls.
• Review and balance payroll reports and time files for accuracy before processing.
• Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Understand proper taxation of employee and employer paid benefits.
• Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
• Maintain detailed and organized payroll records.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll records.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
• Reconcile general ledger regarding payroll transactions.
• Protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Collaborate with Benefits, HR, Operations, Accounting and Finance to resolve issues.
