Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Entry, Intermediate, or Senior Payroll Specialist to support payroll, timekeeping, and leave administration for approximately 450 employees across university staff, faculty, and student workers.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Payroll Specialist will audit, maintain records in TimeClock+, PeopleSoft HCM, and MyLeave, and coordinate leave programs like FMLA and FAMLI.

Qualifications

• Supports payroll, timekeeping, and leave administration for ~450 employees.
• Experience with HR systems TimeClock+, PeopleSoft HCM, and MyLeave.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly and bi-weekly payroll activities and time submission.
• Audit timesheets, payroll registers, earnings codes, and leave balances.
• Maintain payroll records in TimeClock+, PeopleSoft HCM, and MyLeave.
• Coordinate payroll impacts of FML, FAMLI, Short-Term Disability, and other leaves.
• Set up and onboard new employees; explain time entry, leave reporting, earnings codes, etc.
• Coordinate student employee hiring and onboarding, including postings, offers, background checks, I-9 verification, and timekeeping training.
• Serve as payroll HR back-up and suggest process improvements.
