Job summary

ManpowerGroup client in the Northeast New Jersey area is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the Finance Department and support the North America Market. The role offers hybrid work with 1-2 days in the office and a pay range of $45.00/hour to $50.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• Experience with payroll and benefits accounting is a plus.
• BS degree in finance or accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
