Job summary

Regions Financial Corporation is seeking a Bank Operations Reconcilement Specialist in Hoover, AL. The role covers daily/weekly reconciliation of payments and transfers, with on-site training and hybrid work expectations.

You will prepare reports, prioritize open items, log queries, and ensure compliance with policies while supporting continuous improvements and risk management. Four years of banking/operations experience and a high school diploma are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily and weekly reports to review all incoming transfers.
• Ensures all open items are prioritized and reviewed.
• Ensures all queries are logged and up to date in the appropriate systems.
• Clarifies payment details to ensure appropriate funds allocation.
• Notifies appropriate parties of non-receipts/rejections.
• Takes corrective action on incorrect payments to reduce potential risk.
• Handles escalated issues/problems as necessary.
• Assists in ensuring the team complies with applicable policies and regulations, including proper documentation.
• Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates, assisting in the development of necessary skills.
• Assists with the promotion of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices.
