Job summary

FreedomCare in Pennsylvania is seeking a Care Specialist I to join our hybrid team in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia. You will support patients and caregivers, handle high-volume calls, and ensure timely care requests while delivering empathetic service.

You will receive comprehensive training, work across departments, and use CRMs such as Salesforce, Medflyt, and Verint to document interactions. Must be willing to travel to our offices three days a week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Customer Service environment.
• Ability to manage a high-volume inbound/outbound call center workflow.
• Strong communication and active listening skills to address patient/caregiver needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound/outbound service center calls related to HR, payroll, timekeeping, and care requests.
• Follow up with patients, caregivers, and health plans for time-sensitive inquiries and escalations.
• Maintain exceptional customer service through call quality and post-call surveys.
• Input accurate data into CRMs and update case files.
• De-escalate dissatisfied callers and route issues to appropriate teams for quick resolution.
• Maintain reliable work schedules and meet internal SLAs.
• Engage with patients and caregivers via phone, SMS, and email in a professional manner.
