The PromptCare Companies are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to manage initial authorization requests for payers. You will work with intake, clinical, and billing teams to collect documentation and ensure timely approvals, enabling uninterrupted patient care.

This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule (2 days in office, 3 days remote) and requires experience in healthcare, especially respiratory or DME, plus familiarity with Brightree or similar systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare, preferably respiratory or DME.
• Strong knowledge of insurance authorization processes.
• Proficiency with Brightree or similar systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with intake, clinical, and billing teams to gather required documentation.
• Maintain accurate records in Brightree and other internal systems.
• Prepare, submit, and track authorization requests to insurance payers in a timely manner.
• Monitor authorization statuses and proactively follow up to prevent delays in patient care.
• Escalate problem accounts and ensure resolution.
