Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Registered Patent Agent for its Intellectual Property Department in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will draft US and foreign applications and assist attorneys on technical aspects of post-grant proceedings.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on-site weekly, requiring USPTO admission and 3 years (6 preferred) of experience; a Master’s or PhD in physics or engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice before the USPTO.
• 3 years (6 years preferred) of experience as a registered patent agent.
• Industry experience in technology or engineering companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft applications and responses to office actions for US and foreign applications.
• Support attorneys in technical aspects of post-grant proceedings and patent litigation.
• Conduct due diligence, including freedom to operate studies.
