Job summary

El Paso County (CO) seeks a part-time Co-Located Caseworker in the Law Enforcement Unit to support CYFS. The role involves home and school visits, forensic and suspect interviews, and court appearances, with flexibility and collaboration across agencies.

Work out of Sand Creek and/or Gold Hill stations; up to 25 hours weekly, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; hybrid scheduling may be available after evaluation, with background checks as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work or related field.
• One year of professional, internship, or volunteer work in a human service setting.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance as required.
• Colorado State Child Welfare Certification within ninety days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and develop treatment plans; conducts home studies and provides intensive casework services.
• Monitor progress, provide referrals, and ensure services are delivered timely.
• Address safety concerns and coordinate transportation for appointments.
• Attend court hearings and testify as needed; document all case activity and outcomes.
• Liaise with DHS, other caseworkers, and community professionals on cases.
