Job summary

The Raleigh Housing Authority seeks a part-time Communications Coordinator to help tell our story to residents and partners. You will write plain-language content, manage social media calendars, script and storyboard explainer videos, and refresh collateral in line with brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Masters program in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media, public administration, or related field.
• Strong writing and editing ability demonstrated through coursework, projects, or writing sample.
• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn and how orgs use them to reach audiences.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and comfort learning new design tools.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a part-time schedule; able to incorporate feedback.

Responsibilities

• Content writing for residents, media, government partners, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Script, storyboard, and produce two to three explainer videos with captions and voiceover or music as appropriate.
• Redesign or refresh resident-facing print and digital materials per brand guidelines.
• Support Resident Services events and outreach campaigns from start to finish.
