Job summary

King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Seattle is seeking a Paralegal II for the Civil Division's Litigation Section. You will support prosecuting attorneys, assist with discovery, trial prep, and summarizing records.

The role requires meticulous legal support across complex litigation and collaboration with attorneys. Ideal candidates have extensive civil litigation experience, knowledge of court rules, and proficiency with Relativity and Legal Files.

Qualifications

5+ years civil litigation experience in personal injury, tort, or employment.
Knowledge of legal office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Washington local, state, and federal court rules and policies and procedures.
Knowledge of complex filing systems.
Knowledge of Relativity eDiscovery platform.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

Responsibilities

Research, investigate, compile, review, and document information in tort and employment lawsuits.
Oversee case organization, manage electronic discovery, and assist with trial prep.
Draft legal documents: complaints, answers, briefs, motions, and responses.
Read and summarize deposition transcripts and records.
Draft correspondence and memos.
Participate in Race, Equity and Social Justice trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
