Job summary

Locum Tenens seeks a part-time outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a child and family behavioral health program in Van Nuys, CA. The clinician will perform initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adolescents (13-17) and some adults, with 60–90 minute evaluations and 30 minute follow-ups.

Onsite coverage is preferred, but hybrid or tele coverage is also considered. Shifts are 8 hours, Mondays or Wednesdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a caseload of 10–12 and

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP in psychiatry or PMHNP.
• Active California NP license in good standing.
• Experience with pediatric/adolescent behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time outpatient psychiatric evaluations (60–90 minutes) and medication management follow-ups (30 minutes).
• Focus on adolescents aged 13–17, with a smaller adult caseload.
• Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing treatment planning in a hybrid/onsite setting.
• Coordinate care with a multi-disciplinary team and support staff.
