Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a part-time outpatient psychiatrist- NP to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a patient mix of children and adults in California. The assignment supports 8-hour day shifts on Mondays or Wednesdays, with onsite coverage preferred and hybrid or tele coverage considered.

The clinician will evaluate adolescents aged 13–17 (about 90% of caseload) and honor negotiable call schedules, working in a child and family behavioral health program.

Qualifications

• Board certification is required for the clinician.
• Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred.
• Child and adolescent patient care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations (60–90 minutes).
• Provide medication management follow-up visits (30 minutes).
• Treat adolescent patients (ages 13–17) and some adults (adult caseload).
• Work 8-hour day shifts on Mondays or Wednesdays; onsite preferred with hybrid or tele coverage considered.
