Job summary

KBR is seeking a Mission Interface / Orbital Analyst to support day‑to‑day PolSpOC operations, analyst training, and customer coordination. The role requires strong SDA and orbital mechanics knowledge and the ability to translate findings into actionable operational guidance.

The analyst will assess space object behavior, guide operator actions, and maintain tools and procedures aligned to operational needs. Expect mentorship and technical leadership within a mostly remote environment.

Qualifications

7–10 years of professional experience in orbital analysis or space operations.
Strong knowledge of orbital elements, state solutions, maneuver characterization and perturbations.
Ability to brief, instruct, mentor, and communicate with customers and cross‑team partners.

Responsibilities

Provide orbital analysis support using state data and SDA information.
Characterize satellite behavior and conjunction events with orbital mechanics expertise.
Develop concise assessments and recommendations for time-sensitive operational decisions.
Train and mentor analysts on SDA fundamentals and usage of KBR tools.
