Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a project-oriented engineer to support optimization workflows across solar, storage, and high‑voltage projects. In a hybrid role, you will work from San Diego, CA or Bend, OR with guidance from senior engineers to improve tools, processes, and cost efficiency.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Engineering Management, Preconstruction, Procurement, and software teams, with responsibilities to test tools, develop automation, and document workflow improvements for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.
• Knowledge of PV foundation and racking systems is preferred.
• Experience with engineering coordination, procurement workflows, or project execution processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with in-house software tools (Propttool) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering optimization workflows, tools, and value engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate with Engineering Management, Preconstruction, Procurement, Software Development, and LIT teams.
• Create pile matrices for purchase orders using Propttool with guidance from senior engineers.
• Test, rollout, and training for new capabilities and process improvements.
• Assist in developing automation and reporting tools and integrate construction automation into standards.
