Job summary

Hoxton Circle is seeking a Director, Commercial Finance to join its team in New York City. The role blends client-facing commercial work with core accounting functions, offering promotion opportunities for a current Director or Associate Director.

The individual will lead commercial conversations, manage P&L, oversee reporting, and supervise two direct reports while collaborating with auditors and procurement teams. The position is onsite three days per week in NYC.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of accounting or accounting/finance experience in a global media/marketing agency environment.
• Currently at Associate Director or Director level.
• Not a fit for a Manager seeking promotion.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing conversations, including contract terms, pricing, and ad hoc needs.
• Manage the P&L for your portfolio: forecasting, actuals reconciliation, and cost approvals.
• Own external client reporting and ensure contractual compliance across accounts.
• Manage staffing plan utilization, pricing, and vendor negotiations.
• Track signed projects against budget and flag staffing gaps.
• Ensure financial obligations are met across international contracts with auditors and procurement teams.
• Manage and develop two direct reports.
