Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Proposal / Design Engineer - Nuclear to develop nuclear-focused vacuum system designs and prepare proposals. You will lead sizing, cost estimates, and coordination with PM, supply chain, and QA/QC to ensure successful project execution.

The role requires a university degree in engineering, 1–5 years of related experience, CAD proficiency, and strong communication skills. The position offers a hybrid work setup in Export, PA, with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• University degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
• Experience with industrial vacuum and EPC environments preferred.
• Proficient in CAD tools and piping/instrumentation drawings.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals from customer specs.
• Size and design process, thermal, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Develop cost estimates, pricing, schedules, and bid docs.
• Support sales with technical inquiries and client meetings.
• Collaborate with PM, Supply Chain, Ops, QA/QC on projects.
• Manage engineering deliverables and design/ safety reviews.
