Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE is seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Eligible Nuclear Medicine Physician to serve as Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine within the Department of Radiology. This hybrid role involves onsite and remote scan interpretation and provides clinical leadership for a growing section.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified/Eligible in Nuclear Medicine.
• Certification by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
• Clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine, including theranostics.
• Clinical experience interpreting attenuation correction CT scans.
• Teaching and mentoring cardiology fellows, interventional radiology fellows, radiology residents, medical students and nuclear medicine technology students.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated interest in leading physicians and clinical staff.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• Commitment to quality improvement, education, and program development.
• Coordinate Nuclear Medicine research activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational oversight of Nuclear Medicine.
• Lead physicians and clinical staff; develop and improve clinical services.
• Oversee quality improvement and section policies/procedures.
• Collaborate with Department and administrative leadership on strategic planning, recruitment, and program growth.
• Lead Nuclear Medicine research activities and scholarly projects.
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary teams.
