Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care seeks an Advanced Practice Practitioner Manager (NP/PA) to blend hands-on patient care with leadership over a team of APPs in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will lead, mentor, and influence care delivery while staying clinically active.

The role requires a Master’s degree as well as PA/NP licensure, board certification, and DEA registration. Prior urgent care or ED experience and pediatric as well as adult patient care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current PA or NP license in applicable state.
• National Board Certification.
• Active DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute conditions across age groups.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostics (X-rays, EKGs, labs).
• Identify high-acuity cases and escalate to ER when needed.
• Lead and directly supervise a team of APPs within the service line.
• Coach and mentor providers to improve clinical quality and performance.
• Monitor clinical, operational, and patient satisfaction metrics and drive improvements.
• Partner with Medical Directors and site leaders on staffing and workflows.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of APPs.
