Job summary

Swoop Technologies is hiring a Network Engineer in Washington, DC, with a hybrid work model requiring in-office presence 3+ days a week. You will secure and stabilize our network through STIG compliance, policy enforcement, and robust VPN solutions.

You’ll work with Cisco FMC, ISE, and IOS-XE to maintain high availability, monitor performance, and respond to incidents in a mission-critical environment. This role emphasizes security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and maintaining STIGs on network devices.
• Strong firewall policy implementation and NAT configuration experience.
• Proven ability to design and support VPN connectivity, including Site-to-Site IPsec.
• Experience with 802.1x/MAB authentication and posture control.
• Ability to monitor, analyze, and resolve network issues using packet captures and logs.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure across enterprise.
• Implement and manage security policies using FMC and ISE, including 802.1x/MAB.
• Apply and maintain STIGs and other security hardening standards across devices.
• Monitor network performance and health, troubleshoot with packet captures and logs.
• Design, deploy, and support VPN connectivity including Site-to-Site IPsec and Cisco Secure Client.
