IDR, Inc. in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching and routing infrastructure in a hybrid work setting.

You will operate with independence on well-defined initiatives while collaborating within a broader engineering team. The role focuses on Cisco Catalyst C9000 switches and Catalyst C8000 routers, with hands-on responsibilities from design through deployment and ongoing troubleshooting of Layer 1–3 issues in a dynamic enterprise

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional technical work experience with a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of the OSI model Layers 1–3 (Physical, Data Link, Network).
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco Catalyst C9000 switches.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco Catalyst C8000 routers.
• Experience deploying equipment at access and distribution layers.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching and routing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues at OSI layers 1–3.
• Configure and install Cisco switches — Catalyst C9000 series.
• Configure and install Cisco routers — Catalyst C8000 series.
• Deploy equipment at both access and distribution layers.
