Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in a relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 6+ years of substantive experience advising on U.S. national security and regulatory matters.
• Experience with sanctions, export controls, and outbound investment restrictions.
• Experience with CFIUS and DCSA processes, including filings and mitigation.
• Experience conducting internal investigations and voluntary disclosures is a plus.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills; two written work samples required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on U.S. national security regulatory regimes, including economic sanctions, export controls, CFIUS, DCSA, and outbound investment restrictions.
• Support transactional matters with risk assessment and regulatory strategy.
• Prepare CFIUS and DCSA filings, negotiate mitigation agreements, and advise on compliance with mitigation obligations.
• Provide strategic compliance counseling and support internal investigations related to potential regulatory violations.
• Assist clients with voluntary disclosures, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement matters before relevant U.S. authorities.
