Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced MuleSoft Developer to support the Department of State modernization program. The role is hybrid, with in-office work three days a week in Herndon, VA, and requires U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance.

You will design, develop, and deploy MuleSoft integrations while coordinating with stakeholders and security/compliance teams. The qualified candidate will have extensive MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience, API lifecycle expertise,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 5+ years of software development experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in enterprise MuleSoft projects across implementation lifecycles.
• At least 2–3 years hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.
• Experience with API lifecycles and security for Mule applications.
• US citizen with an active Secret clearance (or higher).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop MuleSoft-based business functionalities using CRM/CX integrations.
• Analyze business requirements and assess technical feasibility to meet outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design, document, and implement MuleSoft and API solutions.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation throughout the project.
• Coordinate with architects and support teams on security/compliance for Mule and Salesforce environments.
