Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in Colorado to help customers achieve home ownership through a personal, mortgage journey from start to finish. You will work primarily by phone with customers and internal partners, building relationships and guiding them to suitable loan products while aiming to exceed service and sales goals.

The role emphasizes process excellence, compliance with CRA and fair lending, and collaboration with branch teams to provide a seamless experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong sales ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
• Open availability 8am-6pm M-F and 9am-1pm Saturday (central time).
• Knowledge of pricing and various underwriting requirements.
• 1+ years of experience in mortgage loan origination.
• Active Mortgage Originator with a pipeline.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration with NMLS; regulatory background checks required.
• Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer experience by listening to needs and guiding on mortgage loans.
• Originate and close mortgage loans while ensuring compliance and file accountability.
• Collect and input complete applications using the FNBO Mortgage system.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience by setting proper expectations throughout the process.
• Consult with clients about current and future mortgage needs to help achieve financial goals.
• Increase revenue and reduce expenses where possible.
• Provide mortgage education and support to assigned retail branches.
• Collaborate with internal mortgage partners to process files efficiently.
• Partner across FNBO to optimize referral opportunities.
