Job summary

Southern Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to focus on the customer-facing Mobile App for iOS and Android. Work as an embedded QA within a SAFe Agile team, translating requirements into test cases, executing tests, and validating end-to-end customer journeys across devices.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, strong data skills with SQL, and collaboration with product owners and developers. Hybrid onsite role with four days per week at Atlanta or Birmingham HQ and one remote day.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing of mobile apps (iOS/Android) from requirements.
• Ability to independently write SQL queries to validate data.
• Experience designing test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Embed QA in SAFe Agile team and contribute to sprint planning and quality objectives.
• Design, write, execute, and maintain manual test cases for Mobile App on iOS/Android.
• Support test automation efforts where possible; automation experience is a plus.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
