Andersen Corporation in Locust Grove, GA or Cottage Grove, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer II (MIT) to design and implement manufacturing processes and equipment on medium-to-large projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, apply DMAIC tools, and drive improvements in production with a strong technical background.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering or Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years engineering experience preferred with mechanical aptitude.
• Equipment procurement and capital project experience.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability.
• Strong, proactive communicator with internal and external customers.
• CAD experience with 2D/3D modeling (AutoCad/Inventor) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams on commercialization and startup of new equipment and processes.
• Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive improvements.
• Interface with design, product engineering, and supply chain for manufacturability and capability.
• Provide recommendations on viability of design solutions related to processes.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams, kaizens, and Process System Design events.
• Apply DMAIC tools: process mapping, capability, FMEA, DOE, MSA, Control Plans.
• Develop specifications to procure production equipment or lines.
• Collaborate with Safety to meet safety requirements for new/modified processes.
• Create training tools and SOPs to ensure consistent manufacturability.
• Introduce new perspectives to improve production and material flow.
• Work independently on small projects or portions of larger ones.
