Job summary

Stella Mental Health is seeking a Medical Coding & Billing Specialist to support revenue cycle operations and patient financial experience. This hybrid role is based in Murray, Utah, requiring in-person presence at the Murray clinic three days a week.

You will code, submit claims using CPT/ICD-10, verify insurance eligibility, and follow up on denials while ensuring HIPAA compliance and a positive patient financial experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical coding and billing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and payer requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for sensitive financial conversations.
• Experience with EMR, CRM, or billing software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Payor Relations and Revenue Cycle teams to support accurate billing and continuity of care.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and payer issues with internal teams.
• Participate in billing team meetings and improve workflows and revenue cycle performance.
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials in the billing system.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payor requirements.
