Job summary

CDPHP is a health plan provider with a family of companies serving New York. The Medical Biller with SSMC will handle direct billing for clients, submit claims, manage statements, and provide billing support with a focus on accuracy and customer service in a hybrid on-site/remote setup.

Prior experience in medical billing and with Medent is preferred. The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year in customer service, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience required.
• Experience in a medical office setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing and/or collections preferred.
• Experience with Medent preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify problems, as well as recommend and/or implement effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and develop relationships both internally and externally.
• Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct billing services to assigned clients including submission of claims.
• Manage statements and reporting for clients.
• Serve as primary billing resource and support for clients.
• Meet work quality and productivity standards to ensure outstanding client service.
• Assist with other duties as assigned or requested.
