Job summary

UC Davis Health in Sacramento is seeking a Medical Assistant II to provide non-licensed medical support in outpatient settings. Incumbents room patients, prepare equipment, assist with exams and procedures, and document in the patient chart; with proper provider authorization, give patient instructions and call in prescriptions.

They may also perform front office duties. This 100% full-time hybrid role requires BLS/CPR, a Medical Assistant certificate, and at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR.
• Certificate of Completion from a Medical Assistant training program.
• Minimum of two (2) years Medical Assistant experience.
• Ability to pass the safe to practice pharmacology exam.
• Ability to utilize relevant medical terminology.
• Ability to effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service to the target audience.
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to excellence in patient care as prescribed by relationship-based care practices.
